the access to the VyprVpn servers from China depends of many parameters I gave up to try to understand the logic (and I don't have the information and knowledge to fully understand a traceroute).
I can use 3 broadband connections and each has a very different behavior.
At home, if Japan and Korea have been the best choices for more than 1 year, now I use often Perth in Australia (but not the 2 other cities available there) and Vietnam. With pings under 100ms.
But at office, Japan and Korea are not reliable, with less than 60% ping replies, and, incredibly, the European servers are the best choice (stable and not too bad ping replies, under 200ms).
At a 3rd location, with the fastest broadband, it's a nightmare, and almost all VyprVpn connections are rejected...
It's incredible you changed your provider for your broadband connection. In the 3 locations I talked about, I have exactly no choice... Same for a 4th location I will open a shop soon, China Telecom is the only choice, with crazy prices (45 000, 100 000 and 200 000 RMB for 1 year of 20, 50 and 100 Mb).
We keep in touch (and we continue fighting....)
