This past week I’ve been successfully using Vypr VPN to stream Amazon Prime video while I’m away from Germany. Sometimes it wouldn’t work as Amazon would still recognise that I’m in Italy but after clearing cache and history, and restarting my Macbook, it did.
On Thursday, I couldn’t get it to work on Safari at all so I used Chrome. That worked a treat.
Now I can’t get it to work on either Safari or Chrome. I’ve logged out, cleared cache and history on both; restarted; turned off location services for Safari in Yosemite privacy settings.
I’ve tried it on my girlfriend’s iPad using VPN and the Amazon Instant Video player and it is working on that.
I’ve chatted with GoldenFrog support who were the ones to suggest turning off Location Services (as well as cache etc, which I’d already done).
Does anyone know how Amazon are identifying my location despite all this?
