Hello! Sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue! Sites that offer media content that is restricted to a certain region may fail to load, stating you are outside of the service area, for many reasons even while connected to a server in that country.

First thing would be to confirm that you are connecting to a supported country for Netflix and Prime Video. You can use the following article to determine what streaming services are supported in what countries with our service:

If you did confirm that you are connecting to a supported country and are still having issues, then there might be some relevant steps that may fix this issue in the following article:

Additionally, instead of using a hotspot, you can also try setting up VyprVPN on a compatible router instead. To use VyprVPN on a router you would first need to check to see if your router is supported.

For our Router app the list of supported routers is here:
Here is the configuration guide:

We do offer a manual DDWRT connection for other supported routers here:
Here is the configuration guide:

Additionally, many Asus routers running stock firmware, called AsusWRT, or flashed with AsusWRT-Merlin firmware have a built-in option titled VPN Client.

This being said, the configuration you are using isn’t one that we cannot guarantee will work as Playstation and Xbox aren’t supported devices of ours. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

The Windows tethering function may don be able to route over VPN tunnels. That could be the reason. Another reason if you dont connect to USA servers, could be that Netflix apps have included the usage of the public DNS which is used then. So to use the VyprVPN DNS and to make sure that the geographical rerouting will not be recognized, you need to block the IP on your router usually as well. But it depends on if this could be the problem. Lets take a look at the Netflix Apps under “Help” and “Network” there you can see which DNS are going to be used. Could you tell us here which ones they are?
