Whenever the discussion is regarding fastest VPN, I see VyprVPN in top 5 positions but it is not confirmed whether it provides the fastest speed on Mac systems. Also, I have never used VyperVPN in China, but you can ask the company’s support center (https://support.goldenfrog.com/hc/en-us). I’m sure they will resolve your query. VYPR VPN is unusable in China right now, slow to no connection, i think their software encyption technology lags behind GFW so much and i am going back to my old vpn astr is way better than vypr VPN , and their customer service just ignored my reporting-issue email

Upgrade Your ISP or VPN Plans. … If your VPN speed is slow because your base internet speed is slow, then you have no choice but to upgrade your internet plan to a faster tier. Switching from Wi-Fi to wired might help with speeds in some cases.

That error is typically in respect to latency over the VPN connection. There could be a number of variables that would cause an issue like that. However, we wouldn’t be able to diagnose what may be causing that issue without active services.
