I want to get out of Google’s grip, but I noticed that the Vyprvpn application has trackers.

A tracker is a piece of software meant to collect data about you or your usages.

There are some things that bug me about using Google:
To connect to your VyprVpn account you have to use the Google reCaptcha to identify if you are human or not when you try to connect to their service. This means that Google will record each of your connections to your account and to the VyprVPN application… In short, this is BIG a problem.

Compare to ProtonVPN which does not use trackers in their applications

Can you tell me why you use Google services when there are other alternatives?

I really like VpyrVPN but using Google’s services is a privacy problem for me.

Hey @Privacyrules

As I understand you are inquiring about the use of trackers on the VyprVPN app. I would be happy to clarify.
The trackers used on the VyprVPN app have no access to any personally identifiable information. They are used to report anonymous data on what features within the app are enabled and used.
Connection failures are also reported to better help us as a business to identify and verify any issues that may be occurring with a specific server location.

VyprVPN’s No Log policy means that the online activity of our users is anonymous, and no personally identifiable information is collected or associated with VPN connections. This means we don’t keep logs of IP addresses, VPN sessions, time logs, website visits or any online activity while using VyprVPN.

I highly encourage you to review the following links for more information.
